EarthToTommy.com is the personal and professional website of Dr. Thomas Ruberto. It is owned and operated by Interactive Marketing Technologies, Inc., an Arizona corporation. Earth To Tommy is a registered DBA of Interactive Marketing Technologies, Inc.
Institutional affiliation
I teach geoscience at Chandler-Gilbert Community College, where I serve as lead geoscience faculty. This site is not affiliated with, endorsed by, reviewed by, or an official publication of Chandler-Gilbert Community College or the Maricopa County Community College District. Views expressed here are my own and do not represent the official positions of CGCC or MCCCD.
Course and degree information
This site does not reproduce official college information. Degree requirements, transfer pathways, course prerequisites, class schedules, and advising resources are linked directly to CGCC and MCCCD, where they are maintained. Information published by CGCC and MCCCD governs in all cases.
Where I describe the courses I teach and the field trips I lead, I do so from my perspective as an instructor. Students should confirm requirements and enrollment decisions with an academic advisor.
Content and commercial use
This site hosts two categories of work, which are maintained separately.
The first is my own work and that of Interactive Marketing Technologies, Inc.: photography, immersive media, virtual field trips, written work, and educational resources created independently at my own initiative, on my own time, and at my own expense. Some of this material is commercial. It may carry advertising, and products or services may be offered for sale. Advertising and affiliate relationships are disclosed.
The second is the work of the Ruberto Geoscience Research Lab, a research in undergraduate education initiative at Chandler-Gilbert Community College. Lab materials are hosted on this site and made freely available for educational use. Lab materials and student work are not sold, licensed, monetized, or used for any commercial purpose. Student work appears with permission.
Virtual field trips and other instructional materials carry no advertising and are free to use, whether produced by me, by my company, or by the Lab. Pages in the Geoscience at Chandler-Gilbert CC section carry no advertising and offer nothing for sale.
No institutional funding, college equipment, or student labor supports the commercial content on this site. My own work, equipment, and privately funded fieldwork are made available to the Lab and to my students without charge or claim.
